Do It Anyway

Every month, I give myself a little treat. I visit the most wonderful massage therapist in the world, Annie. In the hour that we spend together each month, I totally relax. She sets the background music up just for me and the room smells heavenly. Just entering the massage room, the scent of Eucalyptus and Lavender makes every muscle in my body automatically relax. The soft green on the walls and the angels placed strategically around the room offer such a serene atmosphere.

Annie is beyond pleasant herself and we chit chat until I doze off on the table. She is extremely good at what she does. She works every knot in my body out making me feel like a totally different person. A non-stressed, totally relaxed version of myself that is a little hard to find most days.

When I stand up to redress, beside the table, a small framed saying always catches my eye. It always makes me smile and remember what is truly important.

Last night, Keith went to visit Annie. I went along with him as I always do with a book in tow. When he was finished, I pointed out the frame to him. He agreed that it was a inspiring quote. One that I plan to frame myself now and set up in our home as a reminder to us each and everyday. For now, I wanted to share it with you all while it was fresh on my mind. Those of you on my Facebook have seen it before, but I doubt you'll mind seeing it again.

DO IT ANYWAY

 By Mother Theresa

People are often unreasonable and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway
